I started this journey with attachment in mind, to redefine sleep training as a multi step process; in which we meet children where they are developmentally, make space for their experiences, build a strong foundation, and gently lead them towards better sleep.
Because for me, It's always been about so much more than "just sleep;" it's about being attuned with ourselves enough to recognize that maternal mental health not only matters, but it can impacts our attachment. With that being said, I wanted to create a safe space where families could prioritize their wellbeing while staying aligned with attachment science.
I know what it's like to parent when you're exhausted and not the best version of yourself. I also recognize how daunting it can be to even consider working on sleep habits given the conflicting information out there. But I know first-hand that there’s a version of parenthood where we can get quality sleep and still be emotionally available for our littles.
In order to work towards more sustainable sleep habits while maintaining a sense of connection, we have to look through the lens of a child. It’s a priority that we help them feel secure throughout the process by being conscious of where they are developmentally, avoid making drastic changes, and implement an approach that allows us to respond consistently.
Although there is science behind sleep, babies and young children are not robots – therefor I won't guarantee to “solve all your sleep troubles in x number of nights!” Having unrealistic expectations of our children doesn’t set them up for success and will only leave us feeling defeated. However, I do promise to provide you with evidence-based information, to help you make educated decisions, and make sure you know that you don’t have to navigate this time alone.
Just as each pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey is unique - so is your babies temperament and your families’ beliefs surrounding sleep. And as your coach I promise to honor that experience by meeting your family wherever you are on your sleep journey, helping you set realistic expectations, and supporting you in working towards where you want to be - with confidence!
Parenthood is a vulnerable and sometimes isolating season of our lives, and we often seek validation, comfort, and connection from others. Here you will find a loving, non judgmental space to learn how sleep science and attachment science can coincide.
