My educational background in the Behavioral Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, and Anthropology) has shaped my philosophies to be very connection and relationship based while my experience in early childhood education has given me an in-depth understanding of what respectfully setting limits and boundaries can positively do for a child’s sense of security and self. I’ve loved being able to combine those perspectives to the research around sleep as well as the techniques from a number of leading pediatric sleep researchers to equip families with the knowledge necessary to help their babies get the rest they need.
I know what it is like trying to parent when you're exhausted, desperately waiting for bedtime and the feelings of guilt that wash over you at the end of the day because of that. I also recognize how daunting it can be to even consider sleep training, given the conflicting information out there. That is why my intention, with emotional attachment in mind, is to help families experience sleep training as a process in which we meet children where they are developmentally and create a strong sleep foundation in aims to gently lead them towards better sleep.
